The beautiful town of Portal del Fenicio is a charming little beach complex on Spain’s Costa del Sol. It is located in the Gulf of Morro and is only 5 km from the coast of Benidorm. The city of Portal del Fenico is also home to a small national park called Caucedo. It is a protected nature reserve made of sandy beaches, which is not only ideal for tourists, but also for animals. You’ll find plenty of walking trails and exciting wildlife to see on this three-mile-long beach. There are picnic areas, as well as playgrounds, hiking trails, and viewing points. Although you will be able to see much of the countryside that surrounds the city, there is still more to see. If you are looking for a bit of history, you can stop at the Museo Historico de la Terre. Here you can see images of Porta DEST, the history of the cities, as well as a number of artifacts and memorabilia from before the French arrived. There is also a small chapel here, dedicated to Archduke Luis Salvador, who founded the city.
